Worship & Prayer

Worship at Lake Nokomis Presbyterian Church

Worship is central to our faith and life.

In worship we come together to be encountered by God, and to this we all bring our very selves - our joys and doubts and questions and struggles.  We are empowered to respond by lifting up the needs of the world in prayer, and allowing our lives to be shaped by God's Spirit as we are sent to share in God's love and service in the world.

Worship is an experience we share; all are welcome and all participate. We desire to explore the word of God and open ourselves to God's leading in creative and varied ways that challenge and feed us.  The use of visual arts, various worship styles, and tangible practices add texture to our music, preaching, sacraments and prayer when we worship together.

All people are welcome to worship with us, as well as enjoy the fellowship and service opportunities of a worshiping community. We make a special effort to include children and youth in the worship and life of the congregation.
