  • To Lift up the Creative through art
  • To Create a space of welcome in the Neighborhood
  • To Honor God by promoting peace, justice, and wholeness

Exhibit

ArtSpace will present exhibits on a rotating schedule, generally of 3 month duration. Exhibits will lift
up relationships between God and humanity and the Creation. We especially seek to display work of artists connected with the Field/Regina/Northrop neighborhood.

Submission

Exhibit proposals may be made by mail to “ArtSpace, Lake Nokomis Presbyterian Church,” e-mail to
ssgoodspeed@comcast.net, or by phone to the church office, 612.721.4463. All submissions will be previewed by slide/photo/jpg or in person by a coordinating team from the Church.
An Artist’s Statement or comparable introduction to the exhibit is expected.
Pieces exhibited may be available for sale, so noted in an inconspicuous manner. Any pieces sold
during the exhibit must remain in the exhibit until closing. All sales must be handled between the
artist and purchaser.

Space

The Lake Nokomis ArtSpace encompasses approximately 70 linear feet of wallspace, 8-1/2 feet high.
The preferred display method is from a picture rail. Pedestals are also available.
The space is spot-lit. Electrical outlets are limited.
Access to exhibits will be during regular church office hours, Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., and by
appointment. Exhibits will also be available during Neighborhood Group events.

Publicity

Lake Nokomis Presbyterian Church will announce exhibits in the Close to Home newsletter of the
Neighborhood Group, in the church newsletter, and in publications and the website of the Presbytery
of the Twin Cities Area. Artists are welcome to produce independent advertising.

Insurance

The coverage on the church itself covers property used “for the enjoyment of the church,” including
art. Pieces for sale are covered up to $2,500 (total) as “property of others.”
